We are very happy that we were able to win a coach like Martin Albertsen for our project. He has everything we needed for the job as head coach for the academy and national team: He can work with training and developing young talents and he can lead a world-class team. For me, Martin Albertsen is one of the best coaches in handball", former sports director in Switzerland and now sports director in Germany, Ingo Meckes
I can only thank Martin from the bottom of my heart for his outstanding work at SHV, President in Switzerland, Pascal Jenny
We had a really intense and successful time with Martin as our head coach in national team. Probably the biggest difference between him and other national team coaches was, that he was constantly in contact with us, tried to improve our individual skill, physical status and tactical understanding even between the national team camps. Me as a player felt all the time part of our project and not only in those few days of national team.
So we had 365 days together to have one common goal and not only some weeks a year…During the camps we worked really focused and I could see that Martin was always well prepared for the next steps we wanted to go as a team. He is as a person and a coach never satisfied with the current state and always wants to reach higher and having more success! That is something I really appreciated about him and lead us to a huge progress in the Swiss Handball federation.
As a playmaker I really appreciated his understanding of modern handball and handball tactics. He was a huge help for me, getting a better playmaker, understanding handball in another way and learning how to react to different situations. And according to his work with the academy players you can see, that he's having impressive skills in developing the technique of handball players.
We had a really good time with Martin as a head coach (not only on, but also next to the handball court) and we had the biggest development in history of Swiss handball due to his positive mindset (that every player can be the best handball player in the world), his hard work with us and the process that he believed in, Captain of the nationalteam, Kerstin Kündig,
I would like to thank Martin for the always open, successful, constructive and friendly cooperation. He has made a decisive contribution to raising women's handball in Switzerland to a new level, former sporting director in Switzerland and now sporting director in Germany, Ingo Meckes
Martin Fruelund Albertsen is a very professional coach and team leader. I have worked together with Martin Fruelund Albertsen when he was elitechef in Randers Kommune. Together we developed the Volleyball European Championships held in Randers in 2012. He experience and knowledge helped the Danish Volleyball Federation a lot in making these championships very successful. Martin Fruelund Albertsen is a very competent and balanced leader, with a excellent ability to get the best out of his colleagues. Therefore I can only give him my best recommendations. I will be delighted to continue to work together with Martin Fruelund Albertsen in the future, Mikael Trolle, Director CEO.
It was Martin's task to develop Rander's Talent and Elite, which at Martin's appointment still lacked a clear strategy, vision and mission. Martin was largely instrumental in Randers Talent and Elite getting a strategy and being put on the agenda for relevant stakeholders – politically internally in the municipality and towards the citizens, Team Denmark and not least the sports clubs. Martin approached the tasks with ideas, enthusiasm and focus. As chairman, I was involved when it was timely in relation to the strategic development and in relation to overall issues. Martin understood how to involve me and the Elite councilors (which is equivalent to a board of directors) when necessary, and he always had a proposed solution that we could use as a starting point. In addition to the above, Martin possesses the necessary conviction that is needed if you want to convince others that what you do is the best for everyone.Matin is good at taking the lead and working purposefully to achieve a goal, Jan Dich Mortensen, Associate professor at Business Academy Aarhus and at Aarhus University.
You get the feeling that working with Martin you are working with a winner, that no doubt will achieve every goal he sets his mind for. As a person Martin is visionary, innovative, motivational and popular among people he work with. I have seen Martin make things happen that no one ever believed a man could do, Hanna El-Kholy, owner business development, management.
